Colombia and much of the world is a territory of inequalities, where armed conflict is a reality despite all recent efforts, where drug trafficking is an activity that is far from over, where the systematic murder of social leaders is a constant, destroying the environment is insignificant, because what matters is money, where corruption is a phenomenon that permeates different spheres. Through the technique of Performance\Stencil, on walls, specific public walls, using stencils and spray paint, setting several slogans that are aimed at questioning the conscience and criteria of the viewer, waiting for him to reconsider and question himself. The slogans would be six: 1. Ethics twisted, 2. political terrorism, 3. state complicity, 4. everything is sold, 5. everything happens, 6. nothing happens The use of text in artistic works has been present to a greater or lesser extent throughout history. The intention with these slogans, words and phrases is that they tune in to the interest of reflection on social and economic policies and on the social situations of conflict (Reality of the planet we inhabit). The stencil has proven to be a very flexible graphic technique, able to adapt to various artistic purposes, has adopted a political function, acting as a means of aesthetic expression, affirms its powerful role in public discourse, specifically with respect to art and its relationship with society. There are no possible solutions to the questions. They are produced and when activated we are faced with a performance that aspires to retain meaning and significance. cr PerfoArtNet |
